The boat is 30' 6" LOL, full of power! Though powerful and fast, the Etchells can be sailed competitively and comfortably by three average sailors in virtually all conditions. You will find the Etchells a brilliant performer. It can tack in through 70 degrees, and with a low wetted surface hull-form, it is one of the fastest light-air boats on the water. In 20+ knots, the boat absolutely flies!!! The Etchells is simple. Because she is easily driven, the Etchells carries a relatively small sail-plan which is easy to manage. There is a marked absence of elaborate mast mechanisms, complex sail controls and deck gadgetry. The Etchells is not a boat dominated by gear.

Fleet 30, Milford-LIS, was chartered in 2001. The fleet sails from Milford Yacht Club. Milford Yacht Club's ideal location at the mouth of Milford Harbor allows immediate access to the open waters of Long Island Sound.
